Hi Folks, Given the international weekend has gone down I am thinking of going to the silverstone classic. Does the club have a club code? Tim

🙂 When we bought the house my wife wanted it because the house was nice, I wanted it because the back of the garden had access and was large enough for a 2.5 Car garage 🙂

Hi All, Only on the reserve list. Hoping to do in our newly acquired RV8 stag (The Colonel), but if we don't get it prepared in time it'll be ol' faithful, the supercharged TR6. It loves those mountain passes! Tim

I am putting my 2500TC "the beast" up for sale. Only 71000 miles. Carried out a light refresh including new suspension bushes, propshaft, electronic ignition, halogen headlights and relays. Rear seatbelt, new radiator, water pipes and brake pipes, new tyres all round on stag wheels and more. Body is in good condition with respray of both sides if the car. Just completed the RBRR with no issues. Engine runs sweetly using minimal oil. Have original bumpers in store, near perfect condition. Asking £6000 ono Contact 07411283602

possibly, but I also have pock marks from weld/angle grinder spatter 😞

Mine is beyond polishing sadly.. there is evidence of spatter from welding or angle grinding embedded in the glass..

RBRR 2021 - the feedback thread
Shynsy replied to Jason's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
My review of 2021 rbrr. Bloody brilliant.... as ever. Slightly more relaxed timings were good. People seemed less stressed. Falls of shinn, yes please next time. Gartcosh, sure. Gives some variety. Haynes... well its not pimperne but loved the cars by the cafe. Cliques. Not that I saw. Breakfasts. Both were fab. Driving standards.. mostly very good. LEDs. I am another who must apologise. Same as others, boot full of spares and suddenly full beam is like something out of the blitz. Overall organisation was awesome. Thanks all. Tim -
Took the six for a wash and a big slurp of E5. For the first time ever on any of these runs nothing else broke 🙂 But I think a new windscreen is in order. Night time running showed all the scratches.

Bottles of water (hydration is important for tiredness), Fruit (satsumas test great once you have been in the car for >24 hours), Muselli bars (slow release carbs, Chocolate is fast release means you hit a wall once the sugar is gone!). Tim

What Have You Still To Do To Your Car

Also had brake squeel on my TR6 with 1144 pads.. added rubber backing from 3M and it has almost eliminated it.. might try ferodo when these wear out. 2500TC was dropped off to team "dad and the kids" at the weekend. Did a faultless drive to goodwood and back before hand (appart from a slightly knocky exhaust!). These guys are going to have one comfy RBRR.. Now onto our own car, the supercharged TR6, think things are pretty much sorted (did a 500 mile weekend round trip to penzance over the summer). Just need to sort a draft coming through the passengers door.. Won't be popular with the co-driver! and give her a wash! Tim -
Ok will contact Tim.. have a great holiday

Wasn't able to go to the drivers meeting. I have down loaded the rally app and can see the triumph section but when I try and login with my phone number it says "invalid Login, try again". am I doing something wrong? tim

What Miles per Gallon Do You Expect on the RBRR
Shynsy replied to McJim's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
Our supercharged TR6 does low 30s mpg. Tend to fill her up at every stop just to be sure. tim -

Sounds about right for a rebuilt crank and bearings... as everyone says.. only worry if it is too low! Tim

just spent the weekend renewing the rear wiring loom on the TR6... Don't want a repeat of intermittant brake lights this time 😞 -
Way better! Well done Club Triumph! Tim

What Have You Still To Do To Your Car

Like Tim Hunt, the 6 just needs some running and a standard service... But then she always likes to throw me a wrong-un closer to the time.. Last time it was a crunchy gear change which got worse during the run and needed a rebuild afterwards! -
Hi Are you sure you put the friction plate in the correct way around. On some cars it is quite possible to assemble it backwards and then it either doesn't engage or dis-engage. tim
