Llessur
Am currently accruing parts for a Spit6 conversion for my Spit 1500. Does anybody have any measurements of the radiator brackets on the GT6 chassis (i.e. exactly how far back they should be mounted in order to clear the bonnet)? I've got the radiator but will need to fabricate some brackets to hold it on...Alternatively, has anyone just bolted through the chassis with sucess/failure? Would rather do it the proper way with a bracket but if there's an easier way would be interested to hear.
GT6 Mike
If you were going to use a different rad I would suggest welding captive nuts into the chassis, it gains you a bit of extra clearance.KD Triumph are currently restoring a car and has done this mod to hold a Golf rad.If sticking with the original rad I would suggest copying original brackets as it will keep the hose position correct. Llessur
Cheers Mike - I am sticking with an original GT6 rad for now to keep costs down - does anyone have any pictures of the original mounting points on a GT6 to give me an idea of what I'm aiming for?
