Steve Cureton
I've just discovered that the illusive oil leak on the Herald is coming from the braze on the oil drain plug. Obviously I could remove it and have it rebrazed but I also have access to a Spitfire MkIII sump which I think is probably identical. Can anyone confirm? Keith
There are two part numbers listed for a 1200 sump, the later of which (after GA156228E) is the same as the Mk3 Spit. The Spit does not have oil strainer gauze which the early Herald does, although the part number for deleting this (GA209473) does not coincide with the sump change .It's clear that it will fit though!Keith
Steve Cureton
Thanks Keith. As my Herald is GA163510 then it sounds like I should be okay.
