performancebible
I go a bit further. Those 3 location dowels serve no other purpose - so chop them out. This is a Vitesse / GT6 flywheel and the lightest of them all. Not fitted to my 2.5PI Saloon which has a modified 5kg cast iron. The engine will pick up / accelerate far better with a light flywheel. and of course will de-accelerate which is a great asset when rallying. If balanced; crank etc. with equal combustion chambers, this will give a smooth engine. Heavier flywheels lead to comfortable driving over hill and dale; the engine torque is maintained requiring less work with the throttle. A very clever fine line with modern saloons and vans.
