Spax shock's ..

Hello ,

I've bought some Spax adjustable shocks for my spit 1500. :P
but at the front , do you need the adjuster to words the wheel or to the engine ?  :o

I think hits better to set the adjuster to engine side , so it's more easy to adjust ..

I put mine toward the wheel, access is a bit more awkward but I though it may be less likely to get covered in crud

Mine are inwards.....have been for near 10yrs although off the road for 5 my adjusters are still free.

Towards the engine gets my vote. Mine are like this on the Vit and the Spit.

I am just rebuilding mine and will change them to inward facing, they have been outward facing for years and they are a real pain to adjust.

I will probably put some duck tape or something over the screw to limit crud building up.

Towards the engine that way it's easier to ajust.
Put some tape over the ajusters to stop them seizing.
I also put a blob of copper grease over them before the tape goes on

Is that the stuff that ducks use, or is it just made out of ducks ?

There is a sign in Conlig a village near me that reads "duck eggs" I allways do when I pass it but remained clean so far, maybe they are only being thrown at those who do not duck.
