Callyspoy
Hi folks, were anti roll bars fitted as standard on 13/60's? If so, what about the estate? Unless im going crazy i cant see one on my car anywhere...Cheerscallum
JohnD
Silverback was originally a 13/60 estate, and it had an ARB with brackets on the front limb of the lower front wishbone.Porter & Williams' DiY Guide lists the model specs as including a front ARB from the very first 948 Herald. So yours must have been cut off, or some awful bodge done - front half of lower w/bone substituted with rear???John
Callyspoy
Hey cheers for the info, just went and checked, the brackers are all there thankfully, just no bar or fixings, bugger!
Richard B
shouldn't cost too much to fix. S/H anti-rollbar, new drop links and mount brackets & bushes, 50 quid? :-/or all S/H 15 - 20 quid?
heraldcoupe
All Canley built Heralds except the Courier left the factory with an ARB. Interestingly, the Courier has the best out-of-the-box handling of any Heralds, so your car's previous owner may have been onto something in removing it!Cheers,Bill. herald948
OTOH, Bill, a lot of the Courier's "superior" handling might well be due to that rear spring unique to the Courier!
lordleonusa
Ironically, most of the Couriers sold were apparently used as Florists Vans! Not much weight there!L
