Spitfire mk3, anti-roll bar 7/8"

Hi all,
some questions, please:

for my spitfire mk3, it possible fitting anti-roll bar 7/8"?
is necessary some modified?
my leaf spring is original; problems on the road with anti-roll bar 7/8"?

Unless you have a swing spring fitted (or a rear anti-roll bar) then I think it is better to keep the standard anti-roll bar.  I fitted a 7/8" bar to my Herald with standard spring and it understeered quite badly.

I suspected this. It's difficult to buy anti-roll bar 11/16 "(new).
