Gavin
Does the steering wheel adjust and if so how on a vitesse 6? I've heard it mentioned but no reference of how, just with the seat right back I can hardly get my leg underneath it and reaching the already off set clutch pedal is hurting my ankle .... Cheers G
Pete Lewis
there is an adjustable slide for the collapsable mechanism, just below the tube end,you can undo the locknut and loosen the allen key bolt if youthen loosen the U clamps on the tube the whole assy can be slid up or down ,make sure you tighten the slide bolt if its too tight it wont colapse in a crash if its too loose you get free play and sloppy steering.look for 8 9
herald948
While you're at it, you might want to check to see if the seat pivot is on the lower of its two possible locations. If not, changing that might also help give you the room you want for your leg.
doctee
You could always buy a smaller steering wheel, just a thought !
Freebird
The above will allow you to move the steering wheel, but you will also probably need to move the cowling assembly with the stalks with it. There is a "U" clamp holding the assembly to the dash. Slacken the two 7/16" AF nuts at the top of the "U" clamp under the dash above the cowling, slide the cowling to the desired position and tighten the nuts up again. Unfortunately they are not shown on the exploded diagram above.
