Pete Lewis
the whit ref I would suggest is the socket equivalent size 1 - 1/16"AF fits some are 15/16"AF there's no way that fine thread whitworth based at 12TPI it has to be a special fine which is probably a SAE standard design pete

Use an imperial one not a metric version.
cswagonl
I have an aftermarket wheel on with no boss and I want to make a quick release for it so that I can take the wheel off if I park it anywhere for any length of time. This will hopefully act as a theft deterrent when I leave the hood down.Hence the need to know the thread.ThanksGraham. Randal
or you could get a steering wheel lock, I have one on my 13/60 conv. which covers half the steering wheel. Halfords do a good one.
