WRS1360
i have a 3 spoke vitesse steering wheel in my Herald (one show on my profile picture) and it has a crack on the bit where the spokes meet the steering wheel. Does anyone know if that an MOT failure?
Zendervision
I think that's quite a common thing with these steering wheels. Both of my Herald ones have cracks to some extent. But you'll probably be okay:http://www.ukmot.com/2-1.asp#Text_topQuote:Method of inspection: 1. Check the strength and condition of the steering wheel by applying reasonable force.Reason for Rejection: 1. Steering wheel weakened by cracks or fractures, in a condition that hampers proper control or Likely to injure the driver's hands. Note: Cracks or incompleteness of the covering skin of a steering wheel or hub, are not a reason for rejection.
