AndrewC
I have a 1978 Spitfire with what I believe is the original steering wheel. This is cracking on the rim and I want to change it, but I can't see how to remove the centre boss as it seems to be integral with the rest of the wheel. The centre plate, which just the word 'triumph' appears to fit under a lip. It appears if someone has tried to prise this out at sometime, as there as marks round the edge.I'm sure I'm missing something simple here. Could someone point me in the right direction please. Thanks in advance for any assistance.Andy

Dogsbody47uk
Do not remove loosened nut completely until you have jarred the wheel off the splines!. A steering wheel in the face hurts!! Don't bother asking me how I Know.
