Hallum
I took my steering wheel/hub off the colum today as it was rubbing and grinding agaist the plate behind it. The two surfaces have been rubbing to the point where the edges have become shard. Should the be anything between the two surfaces to prevent this?ThanksHarry
Clive
No, but the column clamp near the pedals needs loosening and the column length altering by a small amount....
Dogsbody47uk
Further to what Clive says, if you also loosen both sets of outer column clamps, you can, within reason, adjust the distance of the steering wheel, column assembly from the driver at the same time as solving the graunching noises! Cheers, Dave.
