WIMPUS
Hi, I've done this before, but don't know how i've done it :B :BSo how to change it on a Late 1500 (late steering column).Bought a new solid UJ, because the one that covered 13000 miles has a bit of play (rubbers are nearly gone).Going to do this next week after the MOT/keuring, also get the car higher at the front with spacers, fit new steering rack gaiters (2 year old and the same amount of miles and cracking very badly) and also fit another gaiter that is cracking on a ball joint ;)Then let the tracking be done again ! Want to do it all in once, so i don't need to do tracking 2 times :o
James1500
I would have thought the process was similar to early cars, remove 2 UJ bolts and clamp at lower column and pull wheel/shaft to give enough clearance to swap the joint. Did mine this week and wow what a difference!
