WIMPUS
hi! i've bought a new steering column bush with my latest order from Paddock's .. now how do you replace this ? There is a small bit of steering play, but is it an easy fix or how do you do it ? :oAnd if anyone got photo's .. always welcome ;)Ps. It's for a Late 1500 / TR7 style steering column. LouisW
Hey Wim,I'm wondering if this will help with the removal of the steering wheel - http://www.triumphspitfire.com/steeringwheel.html And then use this diagram to find the location of the bush? - http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID006210

LouisW
Just found this aswell - http://tr6.danielsonfamily.org/SteeringColumn.htm And this - http://www.cjw-consulting.co.uk/steering_rack/steering_rack.htm I dont know how accurate they are but they look like good howtos and may get you so far. Other people have probably done it themselves and can offer better advice than myself. :P
JensH
IMHO much easier to take out the complete steering column - but I have only worked on the earlier type.Would recommend you use the uprated (nylon?) bush, as I have seen the new original ones fallen apart within a very short period.Don't know the quality of the ones Rimmer can supply - but they listen an 'uprated' one as http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-209423UR

Gt6s
Never actually done one, but aparently you tap the new bush in on top of the old one pushing the old one down the colum and that is where you leave it.Laurence
