Steering column bottom bush

I'm having some trouble with this on my car, the column doesn't seem to locate properly at the bottom, and the whole thing just moves up and down, It doesn't look right to me as if there is something missing at the point at which the column goes through the bulkhead which should locate it more positively. On my car at the bottom of the column there is a plastic washer thing and a small metal washer, should there be anything else?
It's not very clear from the parts book or manual what how this should work, can anyone advise?

where the column goes though the bulkhead you should have a bush that stops the movement.
Chris witor does superflex ones, can be a pain to fit.

Thanks Andy, Chris Witor bush fitted and that problem is now sorted.
Another question though, from the back of the carbs there is a rubber pipe that connects to the plumbing for the crankcase breather. It's a different diameter at each end so an ordinary vacuum pipe would be difficult to fit, does anyone make these, or is there another fix?
