Raider
I keep stats on this for the club in order to try and help give guidance to entrants on events. Not all of this is complete way back in time but this is what I have for RBRR non finishers1998 12004 12006 32008 62010 9 7.8% of total starters2012 8 8.4% of total startersRegarding car types 2010 3 GT6 failed to finish of 9 entered so 33% failure rate2012 4 Herald/Vitesses failed to finish of 10 entered so 40% failure rateI have no record of an Acclaim ever failing to complete any event

We have never come close to removing it even when landing after getting a bit of air under the tyres.Sounds good as well.. :-)CheersColinThanks, that's about what I have to go on the car, I say "about" because it's not quite complete having had a chunk cut off it at some point. The silencer's OK though. I just need a new link pipe I think. I haven't done any more than pull the stickers off the car since the run, must wash and polish sometime soon. cnicholson
what a terrible thought, there are 100 acclaims left in existance?
Raider
When I became Comp Sec a few uears ago one of my ideas was "Formula Acclaim" - buy some cheap Acclaims and see how far we could drive them in a weekend.A prize of some sort for whoever came back with proof of how far they had got. They were cheap and plentiful enough back then. Raider
I have started another spreadsheet - sad git that I am!This time completion/success rates.Joining the Acclaim in first place with 100% success rate at the moment is the Stag :)Not time to draw any conclusions - plenty more work to do yet ;)

Raider
Oops - that should have been 26 entered 26 finished. :BI don't have a 2000 or 2500 failing to complete the event.
AlanChatterton
I think your source must be dubious then.Dave2000 failed in (can't remember, might been 2004?) and retired his 2000 in Penzance due to propshaft failure.I know a Stag retired some years ago in Scotland with a rattling bottom end.I wonder where you are getting your details from, but I know there is some mistake there............. ;)
Alex
Claire and Nigel hill retired Claires stag in 2008...I think?Due to a timing chain issue if my memory serves me correct......they then went home and continued in another car
Alex
Dave retired in 06 Alan....
MarkDeTriomphe
And there was a 2000 retired in 2010 with blown head gasket (Richard ;))And I am sure I recall a Stag on the side of the M3 just after the Fleet service stop back in '92 ... of course, it may have gone on to finish.Mark

Raider
OK - the results are in using the 2012 RBRR only. Also for statistical reasons only quoting where there were more than 10 of the type entered.2000/2500 26 entered 26 finished 100% successTR2-6 12 entered 11 finished 92% success rateI'll now go on to work on including the 2010 RBRR and then onto the 10CR stats for my life's work ;D
