GTRoger
I'm pleased to announce the already 13th edition of the Dutch nightrally Nacht van het Oosten, maybe better known as the Dutch Chinese rally! This year Rutger has named the rally "50 shades of Darkness" so I recon it will be another hot edition! The rally will find place on saturday 19th of March starting from a new location in the far east of our humble country! As before you can expect a 200km run that takes you down to the smallest and darkest roads available. You can either start in "touring" class for simple tulip navigation or "sporting" for the more experienced! As in previous editions there will be a Dutch/Chinese buffet before the first car takes off at 18.00. All details: Date : Saturday 19th MarchStart + finish : Restaurant Hong Kong City Wesepe http://www.hkcity-wesepe.nl/Dinner starts 16.30, rally starts 18.00Entree fee: € 27,50 per car.Dinner: € 17,50 pp (all in) If you would like to join in, please send me a PM with all details about driver, co-driver, car and reg.no. Would be great to see many UK entrants! Roger
Beans
Might give it a go again when I find someone who wants to try his luck as navigator

thescrapman
Quoted from Jonny-Jimbo Is speaking Dutch required for this event? Only to understand the jokes they make at the expense of the English entrants... Usually warnings about dykes or plagues of frogs.
Velocita Rosso
Quoted from thescrapman Only to understand the jokes they make at the expense of the English entrants... Usually warnings about dykes or plagues of frogs. Or...in the briefings, the holding up of a code board and everybody(English) says....."What was that?" Andy Flexney
Quoted from Jonny-Jimbo Is speaking Dutch required for this event? no the natives are quite friendly.
StagNL
Quoted from Jonny-Jimbo What's the car requirements? Anything goes but to keep in the spirit of the event an older car is prefered. Originally this was open to CTH (and CT) members, it now is open to anyone really. There are some that turn up in Hillman Imps, some in 911s, some in Ford Escorts and even FIATs and TVRs.Just make sure you have good lights. Both outside and inside - to read the route. And no, the locals generally don't bite.Julian
Jonny-Jimbo
So a 1995 BMW V8 may not be quite in the spirit of the event?

sparky_spit
Quoted from Jonny-Jimbo So a 1995 BMW V8 may not be quite in the spirit of the event? No. But a Bantam would. Preferably a D14 with a dual seat.
Jonny-Jimbo
I don't have my D14 any more. D1 flat tracker on the other hand...I'm not sure we'll be able to go, but if we do it'll be in the Lemon. I was joking about the BMW, although it is a fantastic car... GTRoger
Seems that Julian and I are keeping the CT spirit up! Still 60 entries this year, so it will be another good one. Maybe next year we'll have some UK entrants joining in.
