Nick Jones
Quoted from Jason Nick - in the absence of an "official" answer I think it's safe to say cars can be double (and even triple) driven - if they are up to it The emphasis is on getting as many out on the track as possible so any slight rules issues can and will be dealt with pragmatically - it is after all our event so if we want to vary something I'm sure we can! Thanks Jason Nick
Jonny-Jimbo
Have entered the Vitesse but it may not be ready, in which case I will be taking either the MX5 or the 540.

Clive
That is a strong "cake-supplying-avoidance" technique! Did you take advice from your Panama connection? 😉Hope you have a good time. We can rearrange your birthday celebrations until the STMD in July 🙂
richard w
I'd quite like to do this, my engine noises have disappeared - the wonders of a self-fixing engine! Do I need a co-driver?
Clive
No, but please get your application in asap....And feel free to bring a friend who would like to have a go!
Jonny-Jimbo
Nope, just yourself and a car! I think long sleeves are required, not sure about helmets.Anyone clarify on that matter??
thescrapman
Def no helmet, in fact they may actually be prohibitted.Have done them in short sleeves in a Spitfire, helps keep the tan topped up!CheersColin
Clive
No helmets, nothing about long sleeves either. The rules are very relaxed. Just needs a car that would pass an MoT (especially battery properly fixed down)The speeds are relatively low, the chances to do any real damage are few and far between. except cones. They get squished every now and again (sorry)
Velocita Rosso
Quoted from cliftyhanger The speeds are relatively low, the chances to do any real damage are few and far between. except cones. Velocita Rosso
Quoted from cliftyhanger That wasn't me! No, it was a certain big guy from Lewes.....I know it was an airstrip ....but trying to take off?
Jonny-Jimbo
Fair enough, just thought it was worth checking if that was required. Obviously on trackdays they say long sleeves and helmets...I hope not to end up in the pond by the car park at Gaydon...
Clive
That is the beauty of the autosolo, you don't need anything special to enter Proper grassroots motorsport, and cheap as well. And amazing fun
richard w
Entry went in the post last night. Didn't know what class I should put though as class C seemed like it was the right one, but said 1501cc to 2000cc except Triumph 2000s, so I circled class D instead 🤔
Clive
Excellent, lets hope a few others follow your lead. You won't regret it.....

Ellis
Hi allIf you are intending to enter and haven't yet, please contact Nigel Abdullah and get your completed entry form in straight away... With current entry numbers, the event is in serious doubt, and would be a shame to have to pull it due to lack of interest.CheersEllis
shed66
Quoted from Velocita Rosso No, it was a certain big guy from Lewes.....I know it was an airstrip ....but trying to take off? I didn't quite make the field...someone put a bank in the way..in my defence i was suffering from PTSD and momentarily lost the ability to steer
Clive
Weather looks perfect for Sunday. Warm, light winds, dry and light cloud so we don't get fried. Nice 😎Just need to pack the car with the usual tat an buy some cake...
Jonny-Jimbo
There is a thing in the regs about driving standards and safety. It reads like sliding a car is not allowed - which was the whole point in me entering in the 5 series...
Clive
I think anything about driver standards etc is about not being an ar*e and putting people at risk. ie in the carparks, actually trying to do the correct route, that sort of thing. You will be fine!
Tim Bancroft
Looks like there will be 30 no entrants taking part.Shame more from the Club have not entered, couple of stragglers entered late.

thescrapman
I thought the whole point of Autosolos was to have Mahoooosive power slides and the odd-doughnut thrown in. Best way to get the 10/10 for artistic impression.Only works if you have 30+ year old tyres that are rock hard.Has the added benefit of reducing the loads on the suspension considerably.Cheers
