Llessur
Could anyone share their thoughts on the best way to store a brake master cylinder whilst off the car? I'm sure their is a correct way but would be nice if someone could confirm this for me. It has been taken off the car in the last few days and will probably be a month or two before it goes back on. It's recently had new seals so would rather not have to do this job again. Cheers.
toomanyprojects
That's an interesting but very valid question.I don't know if there's an official answer, but here's my thoughts.1: The main two things to watch out for are the seals drying out and oxidisation of the metal. 2: It's had brake fluid in it and it's designed for brake fluid.so,Put it in the smallest container possible, cover with brake fluid and seal the container as well as possible. That's my tuppence worth, not from any source other than the top of my head.
