Jonny-Jimbo
Right, a catering question has come up!if no-one answers we'll do it as we see fit... Anyway; The catering options this year are going to be a Mediterranean chicken stew thingy and a Mexican beef chilli. We're unsure what everyone's heat levels are, so we were planning on making the chilli to be quite mild, however, one particular competitor has asked if it will be 'nice and hot' - so how are people with hot food? It'll be made with fresh chilis etc, but we don't want people to not enjoy it.Speak now or forever hold your peace.(On an unrelated note, it seems I should run events exclusively for MX5s...) RobPearce
Iris and I are both in favour of quite hot, but she's not a fan of kidney beans (or any other beans, for that matter).
richard w
I like quite hot, Lynn not as fiery, so anywhere around medium would be good for us. I'm sure it will be delicious whatever heat you (I assume Alex) puts into it.Your concern for our internal organs is much appreciated! Jonny-Jimbo
I will help with the catering... but I mainly spend the day before the rally tearing around trying to sort and finalise paperwork etc...
Andy Flexney
Quoted from Jonny-Jimbo Right, a catering question has come up! Jon, don't you think it should be something more British?Perhaps a curry or kapuśniak would be more appropriate (he said with tongue very much in cheek) 😉 🙂AndyF
Jonny-Jimbo
I'm not in charge of catering Andy, I leave it up to the other half as she's the cook.I realise I forgot to say earlier, the hotness is for the chilli, the chicken stew will be mild. Jonny-Jimbo
I'm wondering if this will be the first wet scatter event? We had some rain last year, but not on the scale we've had recently!!In either case, the event will still run, there is no need to use anything other than sealed surface roads etc, and the area we're using for the event is not known for wide spread drainage issues. Just bring a coat I guess!

sparky_spit
Super event yesterday, many thanks Jon, Alex and the rest of the organising team. This was our first Warks Scatter and although we didn't do that well in the results, I enjoyed the whole day very much indeed. The roads in that part of the country are excellent, the "routes" were well planned to make the most of them, facilities and catering were spot on, and the organising of the whole event was very slick. You must have gone to a lot of effort to make it so and it was much appreciated. We found the afternoon section quite a bit harder than the first but maybe our brains were a bit slower by then. It'll be interesting to see the results and question answers to see where we went wrong. Many thanks again,Mike Banks
richard w
Jon, Alex, Ben, Hefty, Rachel, James, Andy. Sorry if I've missed anyone, but thank you, all of you, for another brilliant rally. Good to visit somewhere else and the roads were great, you even managed to arrange good weather!Thank youRichardP.S. Maybe I imagined it, but I thought I saw Tim Bancroft in his GT6 in the afternoon, anybody else see him - or am I losing the plot?
RobPearce
Huge thanks to all the organisers, and to everyone who lent me tools, advice, or even spare bits. We enjoyed it, and were quite happy with middle-of-table given that the car was being repaired when everyone else was already on the road for the first session. sparky_spit
Quoted from richard w P.S. Maybe I imagined it, but I thought I saw Tim Bancroft in his GT6 in the afternoon, anybody else see him - or am I losing the plot? We saw quite a few Triumphs around that were not in this event, too many for it to be a coincidence. Maybe there was something on at Gaydon, and Tim was attending there?
