Velocita Rosso
Now the Ten CR is announced and entries are coming in, I can advise that we are now investigating any deals that can be offered for the full field of entrants. We began a few months ago and operators were advising that the pricing structure would be available , first by September `14 ,then by November `14.Now it could be anywhere between November and JanuaryOne of the main causes of delay has been the ever falling cost of crude oil which affects fuel costs. We will be posting the results of our findings shortly, after inquiring of four ferry operators .As the start of the event will be mid morning on the first day it may be that the majority of entrants would be nearly all on one ferry. We will advise very soon

We will be going over from Dover on a mid day or early afternoon ferry on the Wednesday.

Velocita Rosso
Ferry providers have been back today to advise that prices will be available to us very shortly, to cover a max 65 cars and crewsOptional sea companies and Tunnel costs will be submitted to usOnce the event organiser has perused the offers ,we will announce to the entry fieldAnyone finding they can personally better the offers, buy using vouchers from large rip off high street retailers then that is down to the individual Watch this space
Velocita Rosso
Just to keep you updated ,instead of hopping on one leg wondering whats happening like you all do.Conversations today have lead me to believe we will have a system offered and prices this week, which will be discussed with Mr HelmThen the details will be in the January magazine for all to read, after a posting on hereOptions that have been looked at relate to ; various companies being approached and type of crossing eg sea or tunnel No little snippets about using shopping vouchers because you can get it cheaper.....Everyone will have the same opportunity of utilizing what we have achieved ...................or finding your own dealMore this week
Velocita Rosso
Just when I thought that the delay in offering prices for ferry tickets may be to do with an all time low in crude oil, and that we may get a bargain. Then the latest bombshell looks like the delay has been down to awaiting the possibility of fare increaseshttp://www.poferrymasters.com/low-sulphur-flyer.pdf
Velocita Rosso
Agents and operators are still not releasing prices ,as advised today. From one source...."and I have been told that the rates are being set up but they don’t have a final date for when they will be available." Velocita Rosso
There will be an article in the January issue of Club Torque giving an update as to where we are, if we receive the right deal from operators ,we will include those prices/routesAs at today ,negotiations for the 10 CR event are still on going due to additional fuel levies being applied. The press release by one operator spells out the consequences of a European edict telling all operators to change to new , more expensive fuels or carry out ferry engine modifications, which still incurs more cost.We will keep you up to date, but prices have certainly increased.Intimations have been made by a selected operator, that the tunnel crossing may well be as competitive this timeMore to follow
