Anthony
Need some help please :(Yesterday I fitted my bushes to my front wishbonesI installed the two part bushings without any issues, but when I came to fit the stainless sleeve it pushed part of the bushing out againI lubricated everything before fitting, and I pressed the sleeve in with my viceWhat's the best way to fix this? Can I press the bushing back in again?......I think it's snagged against the sleeveOr should I remove and refit?......and if so, how do you get the damn things apart again? yorkshire_spam
Double check you have the right parts - I bought a superflex kit which had all the right parts in except the rear trailing arm bushes which were the wrong size.Must polyurethane bushes should go in/out fairly easy with a vice (mostly based on land rovers I admit)
GT6Craig
I fitted polybushes on my GT6 last week...needed a vice and a selection of sockets. And blood, sweat, tears etc. but once I got the knack it was easy.Part bushings? All my wishbone bushes were single pieces of polyurethane (with a lip on each end).Once these were forced in, I then inserted the steel tube with a vice and socket. Anthony
I reckon if i can remove the metal sleeve from the bushing I should be able to have another go at fitting itBut how the hell do you get the sleeve back out?So far a hammer and socket hasn't done anything
GT6Craig
Quote:Good ones are two piece for the wishbones and radius armsDoh! They did come as a proper polybush kit...Anthony, can you use a large socket on one side of the arm, and use a smaller socket to push the tube through in a vice?
