John Bonnett
GT6 MK3 Non-RotoflexI've trial fitted a front flexible and it seems a bit on the short side.It measures 9.75 from the shoulder of the the hex to the shoulder of the hex.Does anyone know if this is the correct length or have I been sent the wrong ones.Thank you John
heraldcoupe
9.75" is correct according to my listings. Have you fitted the rigid link pipe between hose and caliper?Cheers,Bill.

Heralds and Spitfires have the flexi going direct to the caliper.Nick
heraldcoupe
With the Spitfire, the brake hose mounting bracket is located on the rear wishbone mounting bolt.On the GT6, the bracket goes to the front wishbone bolt. Totally different geometry for the hose routing, necessitating the rigid link pipe,Cheers,Bill.

As has been said, the flexible fits between two brackets and a solid pipe goes from there into the calliper. On full sag and full lock, the flexible is tight.regardsJohn

smithy
Oooh, is the body going to be French blue? No that's gonna be nice! I've been trying to stamp it out on my chassis forever, but I really rather miss my car's original colour; it'll be nice to see - and make me very nostalgic no doubt. :)
heraldcoupe
The hose mounting bracket on the turret is bent upwards, it should be perfectly straight in that axis,Cheers,Bill.

npanne
Good memory! Although it's a little less French blue today - I've admitted defeat and painted the bulkhead black. Didn't want to, but couldn't get close enough (even for a hidden area) with blues.
