GT6 M Posted August 20, 2009 Share Posted August 20, 2009 While me cars in bits again, decided to clean me shockers up,.I try and keep every thing in shape, but it no takes long for some thing to go amisswent to take oot the small [ totally useless ] grub screw , that holds the adjuster nob on,.but the grub screw had seized solid, :-/ :-/bit of heat, no good,. :o :-/freeze spray, no good, :-/ :-/noo the darn grub screw has ..lost.. its flat sides, so allen key is just spinning roundtried to drill it oot, gave up after ruining 3 drills :-/ :-/ :-/so had to resort to ..surgery,..had to cut a slot in the adjuster, then when so far doon, get the grub screw oot wid me dremmel, and a small diamond burr,.worked too, :) :)so noo got a ..Propper .. lock bolt in spot,.So to any one with this type of adjuster, KEEP it either well oiled, or doo away with it, and put a bolt in,.some pics for ye to see,.1, back side of adjuster nobb, the small thingy to the left is ..part of the ratchet sytem , theres a small spring in the hole in the nobb.2, that fits into the slots in the bottom of the adjuster wol3, this is the ..slot i had to cut oot, and the new bolt to take the small ones place,.they are the same thread, 6 x 1.0 mm4, all the bits5, new one in place, [ when i weld the slot back up, ]regards Marcus Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
