Graham Binks
Can anyone give advice/experience on fitting EPS to my TR7? Info on make and cost together with units from current car models. I see the Corsa could be used, but any others? Regards Graham
Clive
Have a look at Easysteer, they have a couple of models. I believe the MGF column has been used, not sure on comparative size though.
Howard
My experience with TR7 steering is that if it's correctly set up power steering is unnecessary. Lubrication with roller bearings at the top of the struts make a big difference. Also I normally run modern 185 tyres with slightly higher tyres pressure - previously continental contipro 4 28/30psi & currently Falkens with 34/34psi. The Falken pressure rating was from the manufacturer in writing after I gave them the front/rear axle weights.
Graham Binks
I run her on 185 tyres at 35psi all round. The top bearings are well greased. The problem is that my wife wants to drive the TR and still finds it heavy. Thanks for your input. Graham

I will look at the MGF possibility. Thanks for that. Graham.
Matt306
Interested in this . I use my 7 as a daily drive so been upgrading various things , vented front discs with 4 pot calipers,EFI , LED headlights etc. Steering is fine on the 7 fitted roller bearing on the top but still heavy when manoeuvring out the garage. Keep us posted on what you have done .
