cook1e
I had a noisy and erratic tacho on the GT6, I replaced the cable and it cured the noise and it stopped being erratic, for about 100 miles, then the new cable broke. Just investigated and the tacho has seized solid, looks like time to get it reconditioned. I recently had my Speedo reconditioned and found a place that was a much better price than anywhere else. They did a good job on the speedo so I'll be using them again. https://thegaugeshop.com/
cook1e
Well, I just won a working used Tacho on ebay for £26 that's going to be a lot cheaper than getting one reconditioned and no wait for mine to be restored either.
Steve AKA vitessesteve
Years ago I used a firm in Nottingham to get a Vitesse tachometer recalibrated and reconditioned. https://www.speedograph-richfield.com/shop/instrument-repairs/tachometer-repairs No price on their website but am sure they were competitive at the time. Howard
Speedograph did a great job for me making a small speedometer correction gearbox (The Rover 5 speed gearbox had been replaced with one from a Sherpa - identical except for the Speedo drive gear!) 65redspit
Speedy Cables have alway done good work for me - they can change it to electronic too, just run a single wire from the coil and it’s up n running…
