Tony, mine does live outside most of the time as i drive it everyday.But i know when i take the hardtop off, the studs on the body work will be very rusty again.. Thanks to my neighbour and also Spitfire owner :PCosted me 6£ and the shop owner told me if i needed ore there is a cheaper set also with just the studs.
