the ideal workshop bench

Recommended Posts

I have a radio in the workshop, permanently tuned to Radio 4, but there is so much suffering humanity...    I then discovered podcasts, and especially, "In Our Time" with Melvyn Bragg.   Over a thousand (!!!) progammes, all online and playable on my mobile while I work.  And such prograames!  If there is anything that satisfies Lord Reith's slogan that the BBC should "entertain inform and educate  its listeners, this is it!

Expert speakers, and good story tellers.  Give it a listen!

Not yet but I do have cable internet and kettle elsewhere in the workshop.

so you download the ingredients and boil them in the kettle, such wonders of modern technology. I still can't get used to the fact you can get telephones that aren't connected by wire to their dial and support. . . .
