HNJ1N Posted January 30, 2014 Share Posted January 30, 2014 like others who have the original keys for their Mk1 mine are worn, not a major problem when locking the door , however the ignition barrel is not well located in its housing,so when the key is inserted it tends to partly turn the housing thing rather than the ignition barrel. thescrapman Posted January 30, 2014 Share Posted January 30, 2014 If you mean the entire lock rotates, then yes, you can tighten the chrome ring.What you may need to do is remove the ring and then adjust the nut on the back say half a turn and the refit the lock through the hole and tighten then chrome ring.
