yorkshire_spam
I'm after some new brake shoes for the Dolomite (1850 - p/n GBS746) BUT Ferodo and Mintex don't do (as far as I can find) any compatible shoes. So far I've found: LPR TRW Metelli QH Valeo Any opinions on what brand I should opt for? I know it's "only" the rears, but I'm a bit obsessive about parts quality for anything brakes related. Cheers, Sam
Amy Wade
Quinten Hazell & Valeo are both reputable brands that have been around for donkeys years, I wouldn't have a problem with either.
glang
I think they could all be made in one and the same manufacturing plant by now and then boxed up for each brand....
Nick Jones
Valeo are definitely a reputable OE manufacturer. TRW also, or they were. Not sure who owns them this week. QH always were a bit patchy and aftermarket IMO and are now owned by Klarius….. the Klarius exhaust rubbers I fitted to my Audi a year back lasted 3 months….. Rosbif
I don't know if it is good or bad but Valeo is a French company and does still produce in France 🇨🇵
yorkshire_spam
Thanks everyone! Looks like the x-ref I had for these was of dubious accuracy, back to the drawing board trying to find branded brake shoes!
