G9LXY
Bought the cheap heatshield from James Paddock this week to try and stop what I think is fuel vaporisation in the floats after a long run. (http://www.jamespaddock.co.uk/parts.aspx?categoryID=9&vehicleId=2 Part number UKC8372)Just offered it up to the inlet manifold (removed the carbs already) and the heatshield touches the bottom of the exhaust manifold - rests on the cyl 2/3 outlet pipe just before the join to the downpipe. I know it's supposed to be heatproof, but not sure I like the thought of something touching the exhaust manifold. Advice on whether this is OK to leave like this or try and bend the shield away from the exhaust would be appreciated.ThanksPaul
Velocita Rosso
Just bend it away sufficiently, however if its the older style fibrous one then it may not stay in the position you want itThe stainless ones are better
