69vitesse Posted January 11, 2014 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Heat causes the oil to break down.Control the heat and most oils are perfectly good enough.Remember: Triumph used to offer an OEM oil cooler for 'continental motoring', aka, long fast runs on motorways etc, back before we had lots of dual carriageways and motorways.
