A Triumph six pot that doesn't leak probably doesn't have any oil in it.Just think of it as free rust-proofing for the front end of the chassis, as you say. :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Pete Lewis Posted March 26, 2012 Share Posted March 26, 2012 first make sure you are not suffering a leak from the rocker cover gasket.if it has an external oil feed pipe fitted ...remove it.the feed to the rockers is an interupted supply from the rear cam journal and gives a squirt up thro' the head and rearpedestal to the rockers, so its not under a lot of pressure, add on an constant external feed will make a already leaky design leak really well.you may just improve the seapage by retorque of the head nuts. back them off 1/2 turn and retorquePete Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
