Nilfisken
Hi,this is almost embarrassing :-/ but I just can't find the answer in any manual or book lying around at home. Is the correct engine oil level for a 1500 engine at the top mark on the dipstick or the middle one? Or is one hot and one cold reading? All I know is that I have to little oil since the dipstick is barely getting it's feet wet.Cheers!
CHRIS211083
Firstly make sure its on level ground as this can effect the level. Then check the level by replacing the dipstick after a wipe with a clean cloth. Make sure it touches its base and then remove. It should be just below the top line but never below the bottom one. If you want a picture just ask. Also don't forget these engines use oil and burn a little as part of the way the engine works.Chris.
Nilfisken
Hi,thanks for quick reply. Just needed to know what the levels on the dipstick referred to. All filled up now, wish we could get some decent sun soon!

Nilfisken
Same here not the best writing form my side ;) Middle one in my text refereed to the line below the top line and it is about the same distance below the 'middle' line before the dipstick ends as it is to the top line.
