Ron
Hi guys,Been off 'air' for some time whilst carrying out remedial work to my other classic - MGB. Anyway I'm working on the clutch for a Mk2 Spitfire for our club and I can't see how to get the release bearing off. I'm sure it's quite simple but I don't want to go doing things that might cause some damage. Any help would be great.Cheers,Ron
herald948
The bearing is a simple press fit on its carrier. As often as not, they can be carefully levered off.
James1500
if its anything like my gearbox from memory I think there may be a pin/s holding the two guides on the release arm once they are removed the guides can be loosened and the bearing removed
