Englishbull
Hi anybody got or know where I can obtain a Momo steering wheel boss for a 1966 2000 mk1?
AlanChatterton
MGB and Mini bosses will fit................. might be easier to find one on fleabay for those two, rather than a 2000?

Alex
Without wanting to say Alans wrong... I have just had a look on a motolita boss application sheet and no other car is listed with the same boss code as the MK1 2000/2.5.Obviously this could be irrelevent but the mini code is B1/ B25/ B45 dependent on year and model the MGB is B25 A/BH/CH/DH again dependent on model (the H is for horn cntrol included)The MK1 2000 code B21H.Hope this helps and that I'm wrong not Alan ;)Alex
Alex
I realise the question was regarding the momo but my thinking is that the spline on the column would be the relevent difference.Alex
AlanChatterton
I fitted a nice leather steering wheel on my old PI which came from a friends MGB............. it fitted fine!
Alex
Ok I'm wrong then I was actually looking to confirm what you said Alan but if you've done it thats enough confirmation ;)Any ideas why the numbers appear to be different in the motolita specs? :-/The MK1 and MK11 have different bosses, on the motolita sheet I have the MK11 is B23 along with many other triumphs......Actually I'm confused because I thought you could fit MK11 PI wheels on MK1's? AlanChatterton
Um............ hmmm.I always assumed that MKI and MKII are the same?Like you say, you can fit a MKII wheel onto a MKI........... so..................??God knows!!
James
There is a difference - the the boss is shorter on a MkII. If you use a MkII on a MkI it doesn't reach the cowling. So yes you can fit MkII to MkI - but not the other way around.
