nang
Thinking of hanging some Michelin's on my Spit but smallest available are 155x80x13's. Will these fit? Thanks.Tony.
Clive
If std wheels they are the original size :) The cars actually behave very well on them too.

rotoflex
I get overwhelmed by the calculations required when the tire sizes changed.I do know that even though my GT6 came with 4 1/2J wheels, and the GT6 handbook specified 155 SR 13 tires, 165 SR 13 tires fit just fine.5J wheels are on there now; I can't remember what size tires. At any rate, I think if you're tire shopping, you should check whether you've got 4 1/2J, 5J, or even 5.5J wheels, & ask what the widest size that works well is. Narrower tires work better in the rain, but I feel the best all-year approach is to select a tire rated good in the rain, get the widest practical size, & drive carefully in the rain. It does rain a lot here.
nang
Thanks Bill, running standard 4 1/2" rims. Will talk to my tyre man.Don't want to go too wide because of clearance problems. Some years ago I had a car which was meant to have 185's and previous owner had fitted 215's, the back tended to steer so they came off rather quickly. ;D
