But several months ago there was a problem with the brakes , then new brake master clinder installed , new brake pipes .. new pumps in the drums ..
and if he brakes he pedal must go to the floor  :-/ now a month ago he did a emergency stop .. then there where no brakes a all !! (again)   ??)

Now there is leaking fluid true the contacts (also new) on the brake master cilinder.. what could it be ??   :-/

I hope i could help my friend, because he helpt me a lot rebuild my spitfire
So i want to do something back and he is not so for the internet so  :B  :P

Dag Wim,

Does he have to pump the pedal to get a brake feeling?

Could be air in the system.
Are the rear brake shoes adjusted correctly? If they are too far from the drums then the pedal will go down far!

Just some ideas for you

Cheers
Shaun

thanks shaun !

i will look at it sometime  :P this weekend it's again spit time with my two friends  ;D

yeah the pedal is going all to the floor!  ??)
now he told me there is fluid leaking at the 2 contacts at the master cilinder  :-/  they are also new ones ..
he bought it from BBT4 at Sint-Job-int-Goor, a good shop.. but a little far from here.
and when we first put the new cilinder in and the new contacts after a few weeks the stop lights stayed on !! after a few weeks they workt properly again ..
I'm going to ask it at the garage where i go often ^^
two weeks ago a was there and there was a Mini from 1999 ( one of the last ones) a really nice one!
in all those years 19.000km original, all service history included , original stone ship and all !  ??)
He took me for a drive in it ! and wow that was fun for my first time in a classic mini  ;)

Kind regards Wim

Could be faulty contacts, you should speak to the shop where you got it from, they should replacebit if it leaks.

Classic mini's, I grew up with them, had lots when I started driving, my dad used to have a mk1 Cooper s, wow that was a great car.

Cheers
Shaun
