WIMPUS
Hi! I want to bleed my brakes My original master cylinder is rebuild (tandem) , new brake lines , new rear brake cylinders . i've also got a PDWA valve, but i hope that my front calipers are not seized .. So where to begin ? :) I know already that you must press the brake pedal slowly for the pdwa valve ;)Kind regards Wim
firebobby
Wim, I think you start at the wheel closest to the MC and work away, I'm sure others will confirm or shoot me down :)
drofgum
Wim,Firebobby has it backwards. Normal procedure is to work from the farthest to the nearest. So, right rear, left rear, right front, left front. This even works on RHD cars as the brake piping layout still makes the RH lines longer. It does no harm to bleed them out of order, but you might have to bleed some twice. All the best, Paul

Nick Moore
Wim, did you fit new seals in the PDWA valve? That's the one part of my brake system I haven't rekitted yet. The seals available online seem to be for Stag PDWA valves - the GT6 PDWAs have a screw fitting at each end. of the cylinder, the Stag versions only have a screw fitting at one end. Sheepy
Dag Wim,I bleed brakes alone! ;)You can get many different kits for this (there is a thread recently for this, can not remember which section now)But I use a long piece of clear tubing, and a bottle, my brakes are allways perfect!
