Solid butterfly hs4

Hi all,

A few months back i've fixed my waxstat jets to normal jets (the penny way or 2 eurocent way).
But at the time i've heard that i best changed the butterfly's to solid one.
Now there are butterfly's in it with a valve in them (waxstat).

is this right ?  :)

Well put them solid butterfly's in today.
Has a chance to clean the whole carb then also.

Needed to set up the idle so it was running only just  and then gone for a little test drive ..
Stopped somewhere and adjusted the idle a bit and turned down the mixture screw about 1,5 turn..

I know i when i last tested it with the colortune i needed to put the mixture 1,5 turn richer and then it was running good, otherwise popping and banging !  :B

So turned the mixture down and drove further on .. still driving great and seems to go better also  :P
And for sure my mpg will be getting better to  ;)
Now just need to get the colortune out again and set it up good  ;)

If the spring in the butterfly gets weak, then a high depression will overload it.

Then you have to richen the mix on idle, which puts everything out further up the range.

Glad its better. You should see an improvement in mpg.

I guess it's going to be that then, i think they are also the original ones ...
So 36 years old ..

Will see now in the next few days  ;)

This evening went to some family of mine and parked the car for an hour or 2 ..
Normally then she started to pop and bang when i drive off ..

Now nearly didn't need choke , started up straight away & nice  and drives very nicely from in the beginning  :P
Now see for a very cold start (after a night standing outside), but i'm now it will be just good  :)
