Brendan The Spit
I've got some nice new ones after losing one (and the old ones were always coming loose anyway).Problem is: I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fit them. There's about a million metal hooks on the inside. Whenever I get most of them to catch, the last few just will not go in, whether I push, hit, lever with a screwdriver etc. I just think I'm about to get it fitted and the whole thing pops out again.Any ideas? I recall having a similar problem with the old ones and I can't remember exactly how I did it. I'm in danger of losing a finger cos when it slips, it really does slip, and there are nasty sharp bits of metal round the back of these things, not to mention the screwdriver, the actual wheel itself etcAnd I also really do not want to be taking the wheels off to do this. Surely there's a technique to this that I haven't figured out...?
Bainzy
The technique I used to use is take the wheel off then stand on them. Better to take the wheel off than lose one down the road...
Brendan The Spit
Thanks - I figured it out however. I got the missus to hold down one side while I grunted and pushed on t'other, and eventually we got them all on.
