Davemate
Quickie QAre all tr6 wheels the same and if there are different types will they all fit my mk1 saloonI'm waiting to hit the wanted section and eBay for bits :)
ferny
As I understand it, yes they're all the same and will fit. But... You won't be able to fiddle with the rear suspension as much with them which is why I'm going down age tr4 route.

ferny
The TR6 wheels effectively widen the track of the car. The mk2 rear end is wider than the mk1. Combining the two can prove difficult as they tend to touch the arches. No mk2 bits means no CV joints without lots of faff. Plus I have other reasons for going down the '4 route. :)

Although as you can get shortened 180B shafts for a TR6 so maybe it is possible (but not cheap)? :-/
thescrapman
There are 2 different widths of TR6 wheels I think. 5.5J and 6J. I think.Keep it short shaft and they will always fit.CheersColin
Tim Bancroft
I think Colin is correct, 6J were a optional extra.Always some available.Tom Keys has a set for sale.

spitty71
6J was never an option at the factory. However some years ago weller made some 6j steels to the same design as the original. These are very few and far between mind.Cheers
