WRS1360
Does anyone know the correct shade of white that the steel wheels should be painted? or something that is near it? :-/
Mark Hammond
Triumph White code 19 if on an earlier 13/60 or wheel silver on later cars. Not sure when the change came about, I believe 1969 model year cars went silver or thereabouts.Mark
herald948
According to an early 1963 Service Bulletin, the wheels changed from silver to Spa White:http://www.vtr.org/TR4A/TR4A-wheels.shtml
Paudman
Yep, it's definitely Spa White, not Triumph White as this is a creamy white. Rarebits Bill sells aerosols of the correct colour, labelled as Road Wheel White.

herald948
Technically, I don't think any Herald was ever painted in Spa White except, perhaps, by special order. :)

It's an error though, probably down to a misinterpretation of shorthand S/White, actually meaning Sebring White. I've also sen Leaf Green (Lichfield) and Midnight Blue (Monaco), which I think is more than circumstantial evidence!Cheers,Bill.

When I first got the car I tried Triumph White and Sebring White and neither was close, then I got the Heritage certificate and bought some Spa White and it matches perfectly!Keith

What year is yours? In my cases, the Leaf Green and Midnight Blue were easy to spot as they were non-existant colours in the Tirumph range! Spa White had me confused and I had to sand down through several layers of paint before finding the original Sebring White,Cheers,Bill.
Keith
It's 63, the Heritage cert states it was built in January, I suspect that may be wrong because when I took the seat covers off they had a date in February 63 stamped on them.It was registered by Broadfields in June 63.Keith
