6.5J alloy wheels

On the wheels the stamp reads ~ 6 1/2 x 13 x .31" OFFSET ~.

By height do you mean size ? In which case they are 13". They are not fitted with tyres, what choices do you think I'd have ? Ideally I'd like some lowwer profile ones, but not anything silly.

Cheers,
Sam.

Ok the spitfire off set is like 13mm or something so they will be too far one way so they may catch. You can get the offset reduced so they will fit correctly but only if there is enough material. I wanted modern wheels so I used these:

Hub adapters, which then allows you to fit most modern wheels. I have fitted these.

They are 7j 15" so much bigger than yours. However they do catch with the 195/50/15's tyres on where they didn't with the 195/45/15's so you really need to use the link below to compare tyre sizes.

Use this website and if the width is the same as or greater than the 195/50/15 tyres on 7j rims then they will catch. However because they are 6.5j they should be easier to fit.

Use the tyre compareorama to see how big or small the wheels/tyres combo will be.

Chris.
