WIMPUS
I have seen new revolution wheels for a Spitfire .. i like them alot! Is it a straight bolt on ? ( I know you must use different nuts)
DAn1980SPIT
Ive seen recommendtion of using longer Land Rover studs. See Rimmer Bros.
smithy
Straight bolt-on yes, that's completely possible. Yes, expensive chrome wheel stud/nut things to be factored in. And the centres.Nice, Revo wheels. (And I sold a set last month! Ha!)
James1500
looking around £50 for a set of stainless nuts for them, providing they're not the sleeved type, far better than the chrome ones that chip :)

Sounds like good advice. Didn't manage to chip mine, but then I only put 'em on and off four or five times.... Wimpus - they're purty, yum yum. You need to find five spokes though. ;-)

Tim Bancroft
Canleys sell them, might be cheaper?Longer studs might prove a problem as the sleeve nuts are closed. I have run Revs for 16 years and encountered no issues with loose fastenings?Go for them, be aware that moisture will get behind the lacquer leading to corrosion.Brilliant wheels that will I sure result in a significent decrease in brake fade. James1500
mine are always off and on for some reason, usually something I've broke :P here's a teaser photo....
James1500
I think the new sets selling now use conventional nuts (angled) its only the older sets that use sleeve nuts? correct me if I'm wrong :)

James1500
I think Tim is suggesting the brakes will run cooler as there's less of a 'wheel' blocking the air ;)

CharlieB
The offset on the new 5.5J Revolutions is 25, a bit too much really, you may need small spacers to stop them hitting the wishbones when turning.
Tim Bancroft
Its tight, but I have not experienced a problem, still mine are the older type. Might be worth giving Revolution a call to discuss offsets.BTW 5 spoke wheels are not available in diameters less than 15'', and 14'' wheels are no longer made.Does'nt James' car look good on those wheels. GT64fun
Hi WimpusI have fiited the modern 5.5x13" 4 spoke Revolutions on my GT6 Mk2.Despite best endeavors to prove otherwise (including a trial fit with a new tyre), with my configuration of a slightly lowered front on 330lb springs, the inside of the rim just fouled on the top front wishbone. I have had to add 5mm spacers, which was initially dissapointing, but I am slowly getting over it as the wheels look great (my opinion and others). The wheels use conventional 60 deg taper nuts and the suppliers will offer 3/8" as standard. I have had to separately source nuts for my rear wheels as I have a CV conversion with M12x1.5 studs. Nuts were souced through Mister Ts Wheel Nut Emporium. http://www.mistertee.co.uk/5.html.Because of the spacers I will be upgrading the front studs to M12 as well this winter.RegardsIan F ;)
James1500
I had issues with wheel fouling initially, I went for the Canleys adjustable wishbone set up as there's no top arms to hit
