Paul Stag
New to the Forum and a lack of IT skills so sorry if I got it wrong.Question is my Stag needs 4 new tyres shortly. I fancy doing a few more hill climbs etc.Any ideas for a suitable tyre? I have standard Stag allow wheels and am based in N.Suffolk.Cheers, Paul
AlanChatterton
I used to run my Stag on 195/70/14's.......... readily available, slightly better handling than the 80 profile standard fitment, but still fills the arches and look good.I got mine from tyretraders.com Paid £200 delivered fora set of 4 GoodYear Eagle GT3 and then £20 to have them fitted and balanced locally. steaming
Must admit mine are the standard 80 profile, but will change to 70 profile when the time comes. ;)Where abouts in N. Suffolk? We are over in Barton Mills. 8)
kryten
Running mine on 205/70 VR14s on the stock rims - fills the arch nicely, and seems to ride nicely over our wonderful British pothole collection that we call roads....
Fish
Hi, I will need to do mine soon too as although they are all okay I have a mix of brands and I would prefer one make, if I drop to a 70 profile is it going to make a big difference on the speedo? Thanks

StagRV8
Tyre on mine are some wire 15" with 215x60. There was a bit of rubbing and the fronts needed a spacer and rear needed longer wheel studs. Think ill drop down to 205 when i have too. Makes the car look better with fatter, lower, tyres and give less body roll.
